Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I connect my guitar to my iPhone®?
- You need an interface to properly use your guitar with the iPhone®. Ground Up Audio is making an interface. See Hardware.
- Can I use the microphone as an audio input?
- Yes, but for best sound quality we recommend using an interface. See Hardware.
- Will Pedals™ work with my iPod touch®?
- Possibly. Some iPod touch® models don’t have a microphone input. Pedals™ is compatible with the latest 32GB and 64GB models.
- When can I download more virtual effects pedals for the Pedals™ app?
- Pedals™ “Early Preview” version comes preloaded with several virtual effects pedals. Many additional virtual effects pedals will become available when Pedals™ moves out of “Early Preview” versions into the full-featured 1.0 version.
- Can I use other instruments with Pedals™?
- Yes. Pedals™ is not just for guitar. Any instrument with an audio output is compatible. We welcome you to try your bass, keyboard, drum machine, and electric kazoo with Pedals™.
- What is the buzzing noise I’m getting?
- That intermittent digital buzzing noise is audio interference caused by the iPhone cellular transmissions. We recommend placing your iPhone® in “Airplane Mode,” to avoid audio interference. See Apple Support.
- Do I have to use headphones with Pedals™?
- No, you are not limited to just headphones when using Pedals™. In fact, you can send the audio output to an amplifier or directly to a PA system. See Hardware.
- Will Pedals™ continue to run when the screen goes into lock mode?
- Yes.
- Can this app make me a pizza?
- Not yet, but we’re working on it. </dream>
- Can I record what I’m playing within the app?
- Soon Pedals™ will feature a nifty recording mode, so you can record yourself playing guitar through your iPhone®.
